What's the difference between coaching and therapy?
Therapy frequently deals with past traumas and issues. Life coaches are not psychologists or psychotherapists. Life coaching focuses more on the present and your goals for the future.
We help people move forward and create the life they want. Most clients are functioning and want to take things to the next level.
While coaching can be a form of consulting, consulting is more focused on getting specific information to implement. Coaching helps you break down barriers that are keeping you from implementing your plan.
As part of our training, life coaches learn to stay objective and help clients look at their minds and thought processes. Friends frequently have problems staying objective and they may be concerned about how their response will effect your relationship. Coaches have a professional relationship with you and are willing to ask hard questions that will stretch and challenge you.
While we don't tell you what to do, we help you think through what you want, and how to get it.
